Understanding Nursing Care

Our nursing care services cater to individuals with complex nursing needs who require 24-hour personal living support and medical care. Our dedicated team is available around the clock to provide intensive care, including wound care, peg feeding and support for those managing long-term health conditions or physical disabilities.

Yarnley House is a luxury care home, equipped with specialised facilities and equipment to ensure residents’ safety and comfort at all times.

Prior to admission, we collaborate closely with residents and their families to develop a personalised care plan that encompasses their medical and personal needs, as well as their interests, dietary requirements and preferences. This plan is regularly reviewed to ensure it remains current and enables us to provide a seamless continuum of care.

Nursing Care FAQs

To enhance your understanding of our nursing care services, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions.

Our residents are central to our mission and their safety is our utmost concern. We maintain their safety by ensuring sufficient nursing staff daily, providing ongoing specialist training, adhering to and updating procedures for medication management and infection control and regularly conducting assessments and audits within our facility. Additionally, we have security measures in place to restrict unauthorised access, further prioritising the safety of our residents.

The level of nursing care provided to your loved ones depends on their individual medical and personal requirements. Our highly qualified team has undergone extensive training to address a broad spectrum of nursing needs. We maintain regular communication with external healthcare providers to ensure that the care plans we develop remain aligned with the evolving needs of our residents.

Several indicators suggest that nursing care may be suitable for your loved one. These signs include recent hospitalisations, injuries, increased confusion, difficulties with medication management, a worsening of chronic health conditions, changes in appetite and challenges with daily activities. Our nursing team can assess the necessary level of care and help you determine the most appropriate care option for your family member. We prioritise open communication throughout this process to ensure that all concerns and preferences are addressed.

At Yarnley House Care Home, we require a 28-day notice period for residents receiving any of our long-term care types and are looking to move out. Our compassionate team are on hand around the clock to support you with your moving transition and answer any further questions you have.
