Private Gardens

Nestled in the heart of Ringwood, Yarnley House Care Home is surrounded by private gardens that offer breathtaking views and a peaceful sanctuary for our residents. Our gardens feature a variety of green spaces, patios, winding paths, and raised flowerbeds, all designed for residents to enjoy at their leisure. Whether it’s a sunny afternoon spent dining al fresco or a quiet moment taking in the natural beauty, our gardens provide a welcoming and serene environment.

The surrounding areas back onto protected parks, allowing residents to enjoy the sights and sounds of various wildlife. Nearby, a flat field and park offer additional outdoor space where loved ones can take residents out in wheelchairs or for a stroll, which encourages connection and exercise beyond our care home in Ringwood.

A Secure And Accessible Environment

At Yarnley House, we prioritise safety and accessibility to ensure our gardens are a secure and inclusive space for all residents. All outdoor areas are fully wheelchair accessible, allowing residents with varying mobility levels to move freely and comfortably throughout the grounds. Several residential and nursing rooms open directly onto the garden, providing easy access and a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living. For those on the first floor, our balcony offers a private outdoor space with lovely views.

The entire garden is fully secure, giving residents and their families peace of mind while enjoying the outdoors. They also offer an ideal outdoor sanctuary where residents can safely enjoy nature’s beauty and participate in gardening activities, whether planting new flowers or caring for existing blooms. These activities foster connections among residents who share a passion for gardening, promoting independence and a sense of responsibility.

Exciting, Regular Activities and Events

Our gardens are a vibrant hub of activity that promotes well-being and social connection. The herbs grown in our gardens are used in our dining and drinks menus. Mint is often featured in refreshing Pimm’s cocktails and served during summer events. When the weather is warm, we take full advantage of the outdoor space by hosting regular activities such as arts and crafts sessions, afternoon teas, visits from the ice cream trolley and parachute games.

We also hold regular events where the local community are invited to join us in our outdoor areas for celebrations. Residents are free to use the garden whenever they wish, whether for quiet reflection, socialising with friends and family, or participating in our lively outdoor events. Our gardens truly offer a safe and beautiful environment where residents can thrive.
