A Stimulating Program of Activities

Activities at Yarnley House are about more than just entertainment. They are thoughtfully tailored to each resident’s personality, preferences and abilities. Our team works closely with residents and their families to understand what brings each individual joy, discover their lifelong interests and create a care plan that’s follows them throughout their entire journey.

For residents who may be bed-bound or prefer one-on-one interaction, we offer supportive sessions that include hand massages, music therapy, sensory stimulation, or simply sitting together over the morning paper for a chat about the news. We also offer unlimited access to our dedicated sensory room, which is a calming and engaging space, particularly beneficial to our residents living with dementia.

All activities are adapted to resident skill levels and energy each day, and our approach is always flexible and intuitive. Residents also have the opportunity to provide feedback during regular residents’ meetings, helping shape future activities and outings so that their voices remain central to decision-making.
